FAQ

    • Been there, done that! We have been recruiting for over 15 years, and prior to recruiting we have experience as both a partner in charge of hiring and an associate and partner receiving calls and emails about recruitment opportunities. We know what it takes to make the right lateral move!

    • We have successfully placed over 100 candidates in the top law firms in the United States, as well as corporations of various sizes, at the associate, Counsel and partner level

    • We believe in honesty, integrity and transparency in the recruiting process. There are no surprises. We will be candid about your chances, and guide you towards the best positions for your experience, personality and culture.

    • We are full service. We do not stop with the initial introduction, the follow-ups, the offers, or even the acceptance. We will work with you every step of the way, from our initial introduction until you are comfortably seated in your new office.

    • In addition to over a decade of gathering market intelligence in an ever-changing legal environment, we speak to our clients and colleagues regularly about trends and “hot” legal areas and markets.

    • We have access to detailed, non-public reports on almost every firm in the AmLaw 200 and beyond, and can provide you with answers to questions of varying levels of specificity at the click of a button.

    • We do not rely solely on publicly posted legal jobs. Using our network and experience building a trusting relationship with our clients, we determine which positions they need to fill currently or in the near term, before they become publicly available to others.

    • Before we engage a search, we speak to the recruiters and hiring partners directly to learn about their clients, the culture within the firm and their specific group, their personality fit, and what they feel will make a candidate most successful in their group.

  • ABSOLUTELY NOT! We partner with law firms and corporations to identify and attract legal talent, and that cost is not passed on to our candidates.

  • One of the first things I learned in law school was I will answer many questions going forward with “it depends”. We can work very quickly and efficiently to learn about you and prepare your candidacy, and we stay on top of all of our candidate submissions working directly with our clients to streamline the process.

We will take every effort to be up front about timing, and we have seen searches from start to finish take anywhere from days to weeks to months.

Our primary goal is to make sure the fit is right, and that it is long term, and that requires a careful level of detail which is important and can take time.

    • Public Postings - We have access to a complete national database of law firm job openings, updated in near real time.

    • Law firm intelligence - We use our networks and personal relationships to uncover job opportunities that are not known to the public, greatly increasing chances of success.

    • Redacted inquiries - For the right candidate, we will reach out to our firm contacts with non-identifying information to preserve confidentiality, in an effort to see if conceptually there is an opportunity for a candidate with your level and type of experience.

  • We will not submit your resume or any identifying materials to a firm without an express, written consent via email. We believe this is the most important step in the process and will not in any way jeopardize your current role while you are searching for a job.

If you are not comfortable with a resume submission for an unposted job, we will submit non-identifying information so the firm can learn about you, and if they would like to see your resume, we will confirm first in writing with you before we send anything to their attention.
